About Allison Jakiel:
Biography & Education
Allison Jakiel, DO is currently a Family Medicine Resident at St. Vincent East Family Medicine at Christ Health Center in Birmingham, AL. She is very grateful and honored to have the opportunity to serve on the ACOFP resident council for Region 3.
She is originally from Richmond, Virginia, and studied Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise at Virginia Tech. She attended Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM-VA) in the Blacksburg mountains for medical school. She is passionate about primary care, working with underserved and poverty-stricken communities, lifestyle medicine, OMT, integrative medicine, and medical missions. After residency, she plans to serve in an underserved community with the NHSC.
Outside of residency, Dr. Jakiel enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family, serving and mentoring within the youth group in her church community, and serving those in need, especially children. She loves Jesus, running, hiking, making homemade ice cream, baking, cooking, exploring cute towns and coffee shops, and traveling.
