Congress of Delegates

Representatives to the ACOFP Congress of Delegates take on an important responsibility and help set policies for the osteopathic family medicine profession. The Congress of Delegates is ACOFP’s legislative body, composed of appointed members from each affiliate or state society. It elects new officers and members to serve on the Board of Governors and passes resolutions.

Congress meets each spring at the ACOFP Annual Convention.

Committees

ACOFP has dozens of national committees and work groups on topics from DEI to history to health and wellness.

Joining an ACOFP committee allows you the opportunity to explore different areas of interest and make a difference for your fellow—and future—physicians. Applications for 2025–2026 will open in fall 2024.

Thought Leadership

Your expertise powers ACOFP programs.

  • Submit to our journal or blog.
  • Help review content.
  • Become an instructor or speaker at one of our events.

Recognition and Engagement

Apply for an award, nominate a colleague, or get involved in career development opportunities like the Future Leaders Conference or the Conclave of Fellows.

Affiliate Societies

Affiliate societies exist at the state and regional levels. Get involved with your closest affiliate and see how it thrives on the efforts of volunteers like you.

"Great leaders never set out to actually lead; they set out to make a difference. By virtue of the very profession we have chosen, we make a difference every day."
