About Barbara Shozda:

Biography & Education

Barbara brings over 20 years of experience in financial management, strategic oversight, and operational leadership for both nonprofit and corporate organizations. 

Before joining the team at ACOFP, Barbara served as Vice President of Finance at the American College of Sports Medicine, where she managed a $13 million annual budget, led the implementation of a new financial system, and provided strategic oversight for diversified revenue streams and investment portfolios. She has also held key financial leadership roles at the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, where she drove consistent revenue growth, streamlined operations, and strengthened compliance and governance.

Barbara is highly skilled in integrating financial and association management systems, as well as grants management, and is proficient with a wide range of accounting and business software technologies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cracow University of Economics and is a Certified Enrolled Agent with the IRS.
