Biography & Education

Brian A. Kessler, DO, DHA, FACOFP dist., is currently Dean at Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine and professor of Family Medicine in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Previously, he was Dean at Lincoln Memorial University and Director of Medical Education at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital. Dr. Kessler earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, and a Doctor of Healthcare Administration from the same college. Since then, he has received numerous accolades; he was named Best Doctor in America by Cleveland Magazine twice and has received several ACOFP awards, such as the Outstanding Paper Crest Award and the Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Kessler joined the ACOFP Board of Governors in 2015 and has held notable positions, including Secretary/Treasurer in 2021, before becoming President.
