Biography & Education

Christina Shawdy Sedaghat, DO is a Family Medicine resident at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA. She is grateful to serve on the ACOFP Resident Council representing Region 4. She was born and raised in Miami, FL, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Miami. She attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, and completed a traditional rotating internship in Lone Tree, CO.

Outside of residency, she enjoys Bikram yoga, writing, cooking, baking, and hiking with her dog Onyx. After residency, she intends to pursue a fellowship in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Sedaghat would like to be involved in building a curriculum that delves into understanding the impact of emotions on physical health in the future.
