About Derrick J. Sorweide:
Biography & Education
Dr. Sorweide was in private practice for 16 years before joining Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific–Northwest. There he is the director of clinical education, an associate professor of family medicine and the cardiovascular curriculum lead. He is also a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, has deployed as an emergency medical treatment provider and currently serves as the medical readiness and training command surgeon for the Reserve Component.
