Biography & Education

Georgia has served as the Senior Staff Accountant at the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians since joining in January 2022. She is responsible for accounts payable, various monthly close activities, journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations, year-end audit activities, and various facility-related tasks.

In addition to her role at ACOFP, Georgia has been the Accounting/Operations Manager for her family business, Grande Jakes Fresh Mexican Grill’s multiple locations in Illinois since January 1999. Here, she manages all accounting functions, is responsible for filing sales, payroll, and year-end corporate tax returns, and selects vendors for purchasing essential products, equipment, software, and supplies. Her role extends beyond accounting, encompassing customer communications for event and catering arrangements, as well as staff hiring, supervision, and performance reviews.

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is fluent in Greek thanks to her parents who immigrated to the US in their early 20’s.  Georgia lives in Arlington Heights with her husband Jake and 3 kids and she loves working at ACOFP with great co-workers and excellent members!
