About Joe Li:

Biography & Education

Joe Li, DO is a Family Medicine resident at Mount Sinai Downtown Residency in New York City. He is a first-generation college student and physician who grew up in Brooklyn. Dr. Li graduated from Kansas City University and joined ACOFP as a first-year medical student, where he discovered family medicine. Through ACOFP, he had the opportunity to meet amazing mentors, make valuable connections and connect with outstanding students and residents from all over the country. After serving in multiple roles as a medical student on the National Student Executive Board, he is happy to continue his involvement by serving on the Resident Council. He is always available if you need to reach out, and would be more than happy to serve as a contact along your journey in medicine.

Dr. Li loves traveling, outdoor and indoor activities, including board games, watching tv shows and anime, and playing video games.

Currently, he practices as a resident at a local FQHC, the Institute for Family Health, and the Mount Sinai Hospital health system in NYC. After graduating and becoming board-certified in Family Medicine and HIV Care, he plans to stay local and continue to work at an FQHC while pursuing academic medicine and practicing urban family medicine.
