About Kelsey McKenna:
Biography & Education
Kelsey McKenna grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. She loves camping, hiking, and traveling. She earned her bachelor’s degree at CU Boulder and majored in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Economics. She then served as an education volunteer in the country of Lesotho with the Peace Corps where she discovered her passion for healthcare and outreach.
She is a National Health Service Corps Scholarship recipient and is excited to work in an underserved community after residency. She is in the Global Health Track at Rocky Vista University-Colorado where she has pursued outreach and research opportunities in Panama and Kenya. As the former President of RVU’s ACOFP Chapter, she authored legislation that was passed at the Congress of Delegates in 2024 advocating for hearing aids coverage by insurance companies. Her experience in this role affirmed her passion for family medicine. She is excited to serve the organization at the national level.
As the Chapter Outreach Director of the National Student Executive Board, Kelsey:
- NSEB Chapter Outreach Director
- Acts as the point of contact for forming new chapters and revitalizing inactive chapters.
- Collaborates with appropriate national committees to oversee student membership engagement and recruitment.
- Assists the National Secretary with maintaining an up-to-date record of all Local Chapter Presidents and respective officers.
- Participates as the NSEB liaison for assigned student committees and provides monthly reports to the NSEB.
