About Madeline Yang:
Biography & Education
Madeline Yang is a first-year osteopathic medical student at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Columbia University, where she was recognized with honors including the SGA Award, Senior Marshal distinction, and Dean’s List.
Madeline’s passion for patient care and clinical medicine is shaped by her diverse hands-on experiences. She has worked as a medical assistant in both orthopedic and dermatology settings, contributed to MRI research in electrical engineering, and served as an Emergency Medical Technician with over 600 hours of service. These roles strengthened her clinical skills, leadership, and ability to communicate effectively in fast-paced healthcare environments.
She is actively involved in leadership and service, serving on the executive board of her school’s American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) chapter and as Vice President of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM). She also volunteers in the anatomy lab and participates in community outreach initiatives supporting underserved populations.
As Parliamentarian of the National Student Executive Board, Student Doctor Yang helps maintain order and structure during all meetings of the Student Association of the ACOFP, following Robert’s Rules of Order. She also serves as the NSEB liaison to the Resolutions Committee, coordinating student-submitted resolutions with both the board and the national ACOFP Resolutions Review Committee.
