Do you have something to share? Submit a post to ACOFP Voice, ACOFP's blog addressing the specific needs of osteopathic family physicians. Posts can range from informal interviews and personal experiences to short research-based articles. Use one of the content types below as a guideline, or contact us with your own creative ideas! All submissions are subject to review and editorial changes.
Interviews
400–600 words
- Ask at least seven open-ended or otherwise thought-provoking questions. If part of a campaign, use the same questions for each participant.
- Include the interviewee’s name, title, location and any ACOFP leadership titles.
- Include the interviewee’s headshot and photo release (available here).
- Questions should be written in second person, with answers written in first person.
Profiles
500–700 words
- Feature an individual of relevance to osteopathic family physicians or of timely interest.
- Include the profiled individual’s name, title, location and any ACOFP leadership titles.
- Include the profiled individual’s headshot and photo release (available here).
- Include photo(s) from other source(s) but must provide express written permission from the publisher.
- Write in third person.
First-Hand Experiences
400–600 words
- Focus on a topic of universal interest, of timely interest or of interest specifically to osteopathic family physicians.
- Include the author’s name, title, location and any ACOFP leadership titles.
- Include the author’s headshot or other original image(s) and photo release if necessary (available here if planning to include).
- Include photo(s) from other source(s) but must provide express written permission from the publisher.
Write in first person.
Research Articles
1,000–1,500 words
- Focus on a topic of universal interest, of timely interest or of interest specifically to osteopathic family physicians.
- Include the author’s name, title, location and any ACOFP leadership titles.
- Include the author’s headshot or other original image(s) and photo release (available here if planning to include).
- Include up to 25 references, formatted in AMA style.
- Include up to four tables, figures, or images from other source(s) but must provide express written permission from the publisher.
- Write in third person.
