Education and Residency

COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE: A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona

RESIDENCY PROGRAM: University of Hawaii Family Medicine Residency Programin Aiea, Hawaii

Why did you choose family medicine?

I love the long-term, meaningful relationships with patients, especially when we can see a variety of people of different ages and backgrounds! I’m hoping to integrate osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) into my practice, and I feel that family medicine is the perfect setting to do this.

Why did you choose this residency program?

I was born and raised in Hawaii and always knew I wanted to come back to serve the community I grew up in!

What do you like to do in your time outside of residency?

I enjoy hiking with my pandemic puppy (now grown dog) Hiwi, running and eating far too many desserts.

Why did you volunteer to join the Resident Council?

I wanted to be more involved in ACOFP and learn what other people and programs are doing and wanted to share my ideas and experiences as well.

What do you like most about ACOFP?

I like that ACOFP brings us together and offers the opportunity to connect with others.

What is your one word of advice to students?

Be curious!
