The Osteopathic Family Physician of the Year Award is presented to a member who exemplifies what the ACOFP believes an osteopathic family physician should be. The award honors physicians who have made outstanding contributions to the osteopathic profession and local communities, while being a role model to peers and students.
Award Criteria
- Must be an active ACOFP member in good standing.
- Must be currently certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).
- Must have no current restrictions on any medical licenses at the time of application.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- one letter of support from the nominator.
- One letter from the nominee's regional or state affiliate society. In cases where a regional or state society is not available, the letter must come from a national leader.
