About the Award

The Outstanding Female Leader Award recognizes female physicians who excel as clinical role models, educators, distinguished professional leaders, and inspiring figures for those in medical training.

Award Criteria

  • Must be an active ACOFP member in good standing.
  • Must be currently certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).
  • Must have no current restrictions on any medical licenses at the time of application.
  • Must be actively practicing in osteopathic medicine.
  • Must demonstrate leadership in their role as a female physician.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • One letter of support from the nominator.
  • One letter from the nominee's regional or state affiliate society. In cases where a regional or state society is not available, the letter must come from a national leader.
